Remember those days when you can’t wait to go home because of a tiff with your best friend after a hectic schedule? Or when you have to stay up alone at work, working on your boss’ presentation the next day? Or when you have tons of work waiting to greet you at your doorstep? You are not only physically tired, but mentally too! So, how do you afford to even think of relaxing, when time just sees to tick away.
#1. Take a break from your work for 10 minutes and take a small walk.
#2. Look out of the window for 10 minutes.
#3. Get up and wash your face.
#4. Listen to some classical or soft music like Sufi, Jazz etc.
#5. Write your feeling down on a paper.
#6. Get a power nap of a couple of minutes.
#7. Watch or read something funny. Laughter is one of the best ways to combat stress.
#8. Take a hot bath accompanied by soft music and scented candles.
#9. Do some shopping, it need not be something huge or expensive, even shopping for some grocery could help.
#10. Go for a drive alone,some ‘me’ time is said to set things straight, if not that it at least it will clear your head.
#11. Shake a leg! Dance on your favorite song.
#12. Talk to someone who is optimistic, encouraging and whom you trust.
#13. Lie on the bed, close your eyes and don’t stop the circus of your thoughts. Let them come. after a point they will be quite.
#14. Watch a movie.
#15. Read your favorite book.
#16. Do some meditation.
#17. Eat comfort food like dark chocolate, green tea, chamomile tea, ice-cream etc.
#18. Keep it simple : go to sleep. A tired mind and body needs a good night’s sleep.
#19. Keep yourself hydrated even if you are stuck at the office.
#20. Exercise. Yoga helps in bringing inner peace and instills positivity.
#21. If you have a pet, then spend some time with it. Some animals are said to sense negativity and they try their best to cheer up humans.
