Fast Special : Farali Barbecue

Ingredients :-

  1. Squarely chopped elephant foot yam (suran) – 1/2 cup
  2. Squarely chopped red and green bell peppers – 1 cup
  3. Round chopped sweet potato – 1/2 cup
  4. Squarely chopped potato – 1/2 cup
  5. Round chopped raw bananas – 1/2 cup
  6. Squarely chopped cottage cheese – 1/2 cup
  7. Cut tomatoes – 1/2 cup
For marinating :-
  1. Creamy curd – 1/2 cup
  2. Chilli ginger paste – 1 tbsp
  3. Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  4. Coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper powder – 1 tsp each
  5. Salt – to taste
  6. Chopped Coriander – 1 tbsp
  7. Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  8. Crushed peanuts – 1 tbsp
  9. Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
For accompaniments :-
Banana chips and potato chips.

Method :-

  1. Put chopped elephant foot yam, sweet potato in boiling water for 4 to 5 minutes. So
  2. After taking them out of boiling water, deep fry them.
  3. In a bowl, add creamy curd, chilli ginger paste, Chaat masala, black pepper powder, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and mix well.
  4. Add salt and red chilli powder, crushed peanuts, dry mango powder and mix well.
  5. Add the fried vegetables, other vegetables and cut cottage cheese, and keep it aside for half an hour.
  6. Take a bamboo skewer, arrange all the vegetables in it.
  7. Season with chaat masala, black pepper powder and grill it in the oven for ten minutes.
  8. Once ready, serve it in a plate along with banana and potato chips.
