Idli Chilli Your Favourite South Indian Dish With A Twist Of Chinese!



1. All purpose flour / cornflour – 1 cup.
2. Ready Idlis – 8 – 10.
3. Soy sauce – 1 1/2 tbsp.
4. Green chilli sauce – 1 tbsp.
5. Vinegar – 1 tbsp.
6. Medium size chopped french beans – 4 – 5.
7. Capsicum (diced) – 2.
8. Onions (diced) – 2.
9. Oil – for deep frying.
10. Water – 1/2 cup.
11. Salt – to taste.


1. Cut each idli into four pieces.
2. Add water into the cornflour or all purpose flour till it is moderately consistent in its paste form.
3. Dip the cut Idlis into the batter and fry them till golden brown.
4. Heat some oil in a pan, add the diced onions, capsicum and french beans and let it cook for 2 minutes.
5. After the vegetables in the pan are semi cooked, add all the sauces into it and let it cook for 2 more minutes.
6. Add the fried Idlis into the pan, add salt and mix properly and turn the stove off after 5 minutes.
7. Serve hot!
