Idli Cupcakes : The Delectable Snack Of The Week



1. Idli khiru – 2 cups
2. Chilli ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
3. Beet puree – 2 tbsp
4. Spinach coriander paste- 2 tbsp
5. Finely chopped onions – 1 tbsp
6. Finely chopped capsicum – 1 tbsp
7. Chopped coriander – 1 tbsp
8. Mixed herbs – 2 tsp
9. Black pepper powder – 2 tsp
10. Chilli flakes – 2 tsp
11. Garam Masala – 2 tsp
12. Salt – to taste
13. Eno fruit salt – 1 tbsp
14. Oil – 1 tbsp
15. Turmeric powder – 1 tsp


1. Divide khiru in three parts.
2. Add spinach coriander paste in one part, beet puree in other part and turmeric powder in the last part.
3. Add chilli ginger garlic paste, salt, garam masala, mixed herbs, black pepper powder, chilli flakes and coriander, chopped onion in all the parts, and mix well.
4. Add eno fruit salt in all the parts.
5. Grease the silicon moulds with butter or vegetable oil and pour the ready batter in it and heat it in the microwave for two minutes.
6. Let it cool for a minute. Take it off and serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
