Juicy And Crunchy Black Grapes Poppers!


  1. Big sized grapes – 15 to 20 (firm)
  2. Chickpea flour – 1 cup
  3. Chilli ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  4. Semolina – 2 tbsp
  5. Cumin seeds and coriander seeds powder – 2 tsp
  6. Salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  7. Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
  8. Finely chopped onion – 1 tbsp
  9. Finely chopped coriander – 1tbsp
  10. Cooking soda – 1/2 tsp
  11. Carrom seeds – 1 tsp
  12. Oil – to fry
For accompaniments:-
Green chutney or tomato ketchup


  1. In a bowl,  mix salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds and coriander seeds powder, and dry mango powder.
  2. Cut grapes into halves and spread this prepared mix thoroughly. Once done, coat the grapes in Semolina.
  3. In another bowl, add Chickpea flour, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, cumin seeds powder, chilli ginger garlic paste, chopped onion, carrom seeds, and water as required and prepare a thick batter.
  4. Coat the stuffed grapes with this batter and fry them till golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
