Ingredients :-

Rice – 3/4 cup

Urad dal – 1/4 cup

Buttermilk – as required

Green peas – 1/2 cup

Sliced onion – 1
-
Chopped capsicum – 1
-
Sliced tomatoes – 1

Grated mozzarella cheese – 1/2 cup

Oregano – 1 tsp
-
Chilli flakes – 1 tsp
-
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
-
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
For accompaniments :-
Green chutney
Method :-

Soak rice and urad dal/lentil in water for 3 to 4 hours.

Strain the water, add Buttermilk in the mixture and blend it in the blender.

Keep this readied batter aside for 4 to 5 hours to ferment.

Once the batter has risen add salt, peas, red chilli powder, baking soda and cook/steam them for 4 to 5 minutes.

Add onion, tomatoes, capsicum, oregano, chilli flakes, salt, cheese on top of the prepared idlis.

Heat a non stick pan and add these prepared idlis in it and cover the pan with a lid and cook it for 8 to 10 minutes.

Serve hot with chutney.
