Presenting Poha Bottle Gourd Stuffed Green Kachori!

Ingredients:-

  1. Bottle gourd grated – 1/2 cup
  2. Chopped green chillies – 1 tbsp
  3. Oil – 1 tbsp
  4. Garam masala – 2 tsp
  5. Bay leaf, cloves powder – 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder, red chilli powder – 1 tsp each
  7. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  8. Salt – to taste
  9. Sesame seeds – 1 tsp
  10. Cashew nuts – 1 tbsp
  11. Soaked poha or flattened rice – 1 cup
  12. Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp
  13. All purpose flour – 1/2 cup
  14. Oil – to fry
  15. Lemon juice – 1 tsp

Method:-

  1. Heat some oil in a pan, add a pinch of asafoetida and then add grated bottle gourd.
  2. Add grated bottle gourd in the pan and saute well.
  3. Add green chillies, garam masala, powdered cloves, and bay leaf.
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, lemon juice, Cashew nuts and mix well.
  5. Add soaked flattened rice, coriander, salt and mix well.
  6. Prepare a dough using water, all purpose flour, and oil.
  7. Prepare medium sized balls from this dough.
  8. Roll out these balls into small round flat sheets.
  9. Stuff the prepared stuffing, seal them and deep fry them till golden brown.
  10. Serve hot with ketchup and chutney.
