Saturday Dinner Special: Flavorful Missi Roti



  1. Wheat flour- 1 cup
  2. Chickpea flour- 2 cups
  3. Chilli paste- 2 tbsp
  4. Finely chopped fenugreek- 3 tbsp
  5. Salt- to taste
  6. Vegetable oil/ oil/ butter- to saute
  7. Spinach paste- 1/2 cup
  8. Turmeric powder- 2 tsp
  9. Red chilli powder- 2 tsp
  10. Garam masala- 1 tsp
  11. Oil – 1 tsp
  12. Carrom seeds – 1 tsp
  13. Finely chopped coriander- 2 tbsp


  1. In a bowl mix both the flours thoroughly.
  2. Add chopped fenugreek, coriander and mix well.
  3. Add chilli paste, garam masala, oil, Carrom seeds and mix well.
  4. Add spinach paste and knead a dough.
  5. Add water only if necessary.
  6. Keep the prepared dough aside for some time.
  7. Make medium sized balls of the dough and roll them into a roti.
  8. Saute them on the pan using butter and flip once it is golden brown.
  9. Repeat with the other side.
  10. Serve hot.
