Saturday Party Snack: Nachos With Salsa Sauce And Cheesy Sauce!



For tortilla chips:-
  1. Corn flour (grainy yellow) – 1 cup
  2. All purpose flour – 1/2 cup
  3. Roasted cumin seeds powder – 1/2 tsp
  4. Oregano – 1/2 tsp
  5. Oil, water and salt – as required
For cheese sauce:-
  1. Milk – 1 cup
  2. Grated cheese – 1 cup
  3. Cornflour – 1 tsp
  4. Oregano – 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt – to taste
For salsa sauce:-
  1. Chopped tomatoes – 6
  2. Chopped garlic – 1 tbsp
  3. Chopped capsicum – 1
  4. Green chillies – 5 to 6
  5. Oregano – 1 tsp
  6. Vinegar – 1 tsp
  7. Sugar – 1 tsp
  8. Oil – 1 tsp
  9. Finely chopped onion – 1
  10. Salt- to taste


For tortilla chips:-
  1. Mix corn flour and all purpose flour and add 2 tsp of oil, salt, cumin seeds powder, Oregano and prepare a dough.
  2. Make medium sized balls of the prepared dough and make small rotis of it, make small incisions in it with the help of a fork.
  3. Cut the roti into four parts.
  4. Fry the triangles till golden brown.
For cheese sauce:-
  1. Heat milk and add grated and stir continuously.
  2. Mix cornflour in 1 tbsp of milk at room temperature, prepare a slurry of it and add it to the milk and stir continuously.
  3. Stir till it thickens.
  4. Make the cornflour slurry again and add it into cheese milk mixture.
  5. Heat and stir continuously.
  6. Turn the heat off, add Oregano and mix well.
For salsa sauce:-
  1. Roast tomatoes, capsicum, garlic, green chillies in a pan by covering it.
  2. Stir from time to time and then turn the heat off after 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Blend this readied mixture in a blender. But ensure that the mixture is chunky and not smooth.
  4. Heat some oil in a pan and saute onions for 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Add the semi crushed mixture of tomatoes, sugar, vinegar, mix well and turn the heat off after 2 minutes.
In a plate, arrange the chips in a ring, put two bowls in centre and put salsa sauce in one bowl and cheese sauce in the other and serve.
