Saturday Starter Special : Stuff Manchurian Dahiwada

Ingredients :-

  1. Soaked yellow gram lentil – 3 cups
  2. Mashed potatoes – 2 cups
  3. Chilli ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  4. Chopped mix vegetables  (carrots, cabbage and capsicum) – 3 tbsp each
  5. Finely chopped onion – 1 tbsp
  6. Chinese masala – 1 tsp
  7. Salt – to taste
  8. Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  9. Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  10. Red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, soy sauce – 1 tsp  each
  11. Finely chopped coriander – 1 tbsp
  12. Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
  13. Oil – to fry
For garnishing :-
Thick sweetened curd, fine sev, finely chopped onion, chilli powder, black pepper powder, finely chopped coriander and pomegranate seeds.

Method :-

  1. Blend the soaked gram, add a little baking soda and prepare a batter of it.
  2. Add salt in it and keep it aside.
  3. In a bowl, take mashed potatoes, add chilli ginger garlic paste, mixed vegetables, chopped onion, salt, black pepper powder, Chinese masala, chilli powder, dry mango powder and mix well.
  4. Add all the sauces and mix well.
  5. Make medium sized balls of the mixture and dip them one by one into the prepared batter.
  6. Deep fry the coated balls till golden brown.
  7. In a serving plate, put the fried balls, serve along with sweetened curd and green chutney.
