Sesame Toasts : The Perfect Partner To Your Cuppa!



  1. Boiled potatoes – 3
  2. Finely chopped spring onion – 2 tbsp
  3. Finely chopped capsicum – 1/2 cup
  4. Finely chopped carrots – 1 tbsp
  5. Finely chopped coriander – 1 tbsp
  6. Ajinomoto – a pinch
  7. Finely chopped beans – 1 tbsp
  8. Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
  9. Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  10. Big bread slices – 5
  11. All purpose flour – 1 cup
  12. Baking soda – a pinch
  13. White sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
  14. Salt – to taste
  15. Oil – to fry
For garnishing:-
Tomato sauce and chilli sauce.


  1. Mash the boiled potatoes and keep it aside.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan and add chopped spring onion, beans and saute at a high flame for two minutes.
  3. Add capsicum, carrots, Ajinomoto, and saute for two to three minutes.
  4. In the mashed potatoes mixture, add soy sauce, chilli sauce, red chilli powder, salt, the prepared mixture, mix well and keep it aside to cool.
  5. Spread this mixture on the bread slices and keep it aside.
  6. Prepare a thick batter of all purpose flour by adding 1/2 cup of water, salt and baking soda.
  7. Coat the part of the bread slice which does not have the mixture into this prepared batter.
  8. Sprinkle lots of sesame seeds on the mixture and fry the breads till golden brown.
  9. Take the crispy and fried breads in a plate, cut vertical medium sized strips of it, garnish with tomato sauce and chilli sauce and serve.
