Snack With A Twist: Dalwada With A South Indian Twist!

Ingredients:-

  1. Soaked chickpeas – 2 cups
  2. Chilli ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  3. Rice flour – 1/2 cup
  4. Finely chopped onion – 2 tbsp
  5. Finely chopped coriander – 2 tbsp
  6. Punjabi garam masala – 1 tsp
  7. Fennel seeds powder – 2 tsp
  8. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  9. Salt – to taste
  10. Turmeric powder and red chilli powder – 1 tsp each
  11. Dry mango powder – 2 tsp
  12. Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  13. Oil – to fry
For accompaniments:-
Coconut chutney

Method:-

  1. Semi crush the soaked chickpeas in a blender.
  2. Add chilli ginger garlic paste, chopped onion and mix well.
  3. Add Fennel seeds powder and mix well.
  4. Add coriander seeds powder, chopped coriander and rice flour and mix well.
  5. Make medium sized patties of the batter and deep fry them till golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
