Sunday Special : Poha Cutlets With Coconut Melon Drink



  1. Soaked poha – 2 cups
  2. Mashed potatoes – 1 1/2 cups
  3. Finely chopped onion – 2 tbsp
  4. Chilli ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  5. Turmeric powder and chilli powder – 2 tsp each
  6. Salt – to taste
  7. Finely chopped coriander – 1 tbsp
  8. Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  9. Garam masala – 1 tsp
  10. Corn flour – for coating
  11. Oil – for frying
For coconut melon drink
  1. Watermelon juice – 1 cup
  2. Fresh coconut water – 1/2 cup
  3. Vanilla ice cream – 2 scoops
  4. Sugar – 2 tbsp
  5. Crushed ice – 2 – 3 cubes.
For serving
Green chutney and ketchup

Method :-

For coconut melon drink
  1. Gather all the ingredients and blend them together in a blender.
  2. Top it up with crushed ice and serve chilled.
For cutlets
  1. In a bowl mix mashed potatoes and soaked poha well.
  2. Add finely chopped onion, chilli ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  3. Add salt, chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, lemon juice, finely chopped coriander and mix well.
  4. Make medium sized balls of the prepared mixture, coat with cornflour and fry golden brown.
  5. Serve hot in a plate with green chutney, ketchup and coconut melon drink.
