Three Colours Three Flavors One Paratha – Presenting Tri colour Paratha!



Wheat and all purpose flour – 3 cups
For Thai green paste
  1. Spicy green chillies – 8-10
  2. Green garlic – 8 – 10
  3. Coriander – 1/2 cup
  4. Mint – 1/2 cup
  5. Spring onions – 2
  6. Ginger – 1 tbsp
  7. Mixed herbs – 1 tsp
  8. Chilli flakes – 1 tsp
  9. Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  10. Salt – to taste
  11. Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  12. Oregano – 2 tsp
  13. Oil – for mohun
For red paste
  1. Spicy red chillies – 7-8
  2. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  3. Onion – 2
  4. Boiled beet root – 1
  5. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  6. Chili flakes and oregano – 1 tsp each
  7. Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  8. Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  9. Salt – to taste
  10. Oil – for mohun
Yellow paste
  1. Grated yellow turmeric or turmeric powder – 1 cup / 2 tbsp
  2. Boiled and grated carrot – 2 tbsp
  3. Ginger chilli garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  4. Mixed herb, chilli flakes and oregano – 1 tsp each
  5. Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  6. Onion – 2
  7. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  8. Salt – to taste
  9. Oil – for mohun


  1. Mix the ingredients of green paste and blend it together. Repeat the same with other two colour pastes and keep them separate.
  2. Mix both wheat flour and all purpose flour well and divide it into three parts.
  3. Put each colour paste in each divided flour.
  4. Use water only if necessary
  5. Add mohun in the respective groups of flour and knead it.
  6. Keep the three doughs aside for an hour.
  7. Make medium sized rolls from each of the coloured dough.
  8. Mix them together and slowly roll them like a roti.
  9. Then put it on the pan and make it like a normal paratha.
