Try This Delicious Recipe Of Potato Balls in Makhani Gravy



  1. Mashed potatoes- 2 cups
  2. Grated cottage cheese- 1/2 cup
  3. Grated cheese- 2 tbsp
  4. Bread crumbs- 1/2 cup
  5. Chilli ginger garlic paste- 2 tbsp
  6. Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
  7. Garam masala- 1 tsp
  8. Corn flour- 3 tbsp
  9. Vegetable oil/butter – 2 tbsp
  10. Bay leaf and cloves – 1 each
  11. Cardamom powder  – 3
  12. Tomato puree – 1 cup
  13. Salt – to taste
  14. Cashew paste – 1/2 cup
  15. Fresh cream – 2 tbsp
  16. Oil – to fry
For garnishing:-
Fresh cream and fried cashews.


  1. Heat some oil in a pan and add bay leaf, cardamon, 1 tbsp of chilli ginger garlic paste, tomato puree, salt and cook for two minutes.
  2. Once the mixture is cooked, keep it aside to cool and later blend it in the blender.
  3. In a bowl mix mashed potatoes, grated cottage cheese, grated cheese, salt, remaining chilli ginger garlic paste, bread crumbs, red chilli powder and mix well.
  4. Prepare medium sized balls of the readied mixture.
  5. Coat the balls with a slurry made from cornflour and water and fry them till golden brown.
  6. In the prepared curry, add grated cottage cheese, fresh cream, garam masala, chilli powder, cardamom powder, cashew paste and mix well.
  7. Heat the curry till it thickens.
  8. Add the fried balls in the curry and mix well.
  9. Garnish with fresh cream and fried cashews and serve hot.
