Weekend Breakfast Special : Bread Medu Vada!



1. Fresh bread crumbs – 2 cups
2. Rice flour – 1 cup
3. Chopped onion – 1
4. Chopped green chilli – 1 tbsp
5. Cumin seeds – 2 tsp
6. Sour curd – 1 cup
7. Salt – to taste
8. Oil – to fry


1. In a bowl add bread crumbs, rice flour, chopped onion and chilli, cumin seeds, curd and salt and mix well.
2. Prepare a batter thick enough to make balls.
3. Once the balls are prepared, poke a hole into its center, giving it a shape of normal medu vada.
4. Once they are prepared, fry them in the oil till golden brown and serve with coconut chutney and Sambhar.
