Weekend Special : Fulltoo Punjabi Platter!


Punjabi samosa


1. Mashed potatoes – 1 cup
2. Finely Chopped onions – 1
3. Chilli ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
4. Finely chopped coriander – 1 tbsp
5. Mint paste – 1 tsp
6. Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
7. Oil – 2 tsp
8. Salt – to taste
9. Punjabi garam masala – 2 tsp
10. Dough of all purpose flour – 1 cup
11. Oil – to fry

Method :-

1. Heat some oil in a pan and lightly roast the chopped onion.
2. Add the mashed potatoes, salt, chilli ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder, finely chopped coriander and mix well.
3. Make small rotis of the all purpose flour dough, stuff the prepared mixture and deep fry them till golden brown.

Stir fry vegetables


1. Baby onions – 2
2. Cherry tomatoes – 2
3. Squarely cut capsicum – 3 – 4
4. Big pieces cut cabbage – 2 tbsp
5. Pineapple slices – 2 pieces
6. Italian seasoning – 2 tsp
7. Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
8. Olive oil or regular oil – 2 tsp
9. Salt – to taste


1. Heat some oil in a pan and add all the ingredients together, stir fry, add the seasoning, cook and mix well.


Jeera rice

Ingredients :-

1. Basmati rice – 1 cup
2. Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
3. Cumin seeds – 2 tsp
4. Vertically chopped onion – 1
5. Garam Masala – 1 tsp
6. Cashews – 10-12
7. Raisins – 15
8. Finely chopped coriander – 2 tsp
9. Salt – to taste

Method :-

1. Wash and soak basmati rice for 2 hours.
2. Heat some vegetable oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, onion and saute till golden brown.
3. Add rice, salt, garam masala, cashews, raisins, finely chopped coriander , cook and serve.

Missi roti


1. Wheat flour – 1 cup
2. Chickpea flour – 1 cup
3. Green chilli paste – 1 tsp
4. Dried fenugreek leaves – 2 tsp
5. Oil – 2 tsp
6. Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
7. Cumin seeds powder – a pinch
8. Oil – 1 tbsp
9. Chopped Coriander – 1 tsp

Method :-

1. Gather all the ingredients except oil and mash them properly.
2. Make medium sized balls and prepare a roti.
3. Grease a microwave proof plate with butter or vegetable oil and put the prepared roti on it.
4. Heat it in the microwave on high mode for 12-14 minutes.
5. Flip it every five minutes and grease with butter or vegetable oil.

Vegetable Jaipuri


1. Chopped Carrots – 2
2. Boiled potatoes – 2
3. Boiled peas – 100 gm
4. Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
5. Chopped cabbage- 250 gm
6. Chopped tomatoes – 3
7. Green chilli – 3
8. Sugar – 1/2 tsp
9. Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
10. Finely chopped coriander – 1/2 cup
11. Salt – to taste
12. Grated coconut – 2 tsp
13. Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
14. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
15. Chopped onion – 1
16. Garlic cloves – 5
Dry masala
17. Bay leaves – 5
18. Cloves – 5
19. Black pepper seeds – 7
20. Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp

Method :-

1. Gather all the ingredients of the masala and grind it together.
2. Heat some oil in a pan, add the freshly ground masala in it and saute well.
3. Add a little water, cook the masala in it, add the chopped and boiled potatoes, peas, carrots, tomatoes, dry masala and saute.
4. Add a little water and add pieces of green chillies, dry masala, salt, sugar, red chilli powder and cook well.
5. Garnish with finely chopped coriander, vegetable oil and serve hot.
